Workshops Fall 2008

Registration for summer classes will be held the April 18th from 10am to 3pm and April 19th from 1pm to 4pm.

“Play” Time

Our first ever drop-in creative program for ages 3-7! During “Play” Time, children will engage in drama activities centered around a new theme each week. They will explore characters, music, movement, and visual arts (making costumes, props, and puppets). Since there will be no final performance, students may choose to attend all classes or just the classes they can work into their busy summer schedule. Fees will be on a punch-card basis. You may purchase all classes, or in increments of three.

NO CLASS ON FAIR PARADE DAY

TUITION: $55 for all 9 classes or $20 each for a 3 class punch card

KINDERDRAMA

Kinderdrama is a production-based workshop for ages 4-7. Students will learn about theatrical production by engaging in creative drama activities and visual arts activities centered around their performance of “A Dog’s Tale” which will be the opening act for “The Not Ready for Bedtime Players” performance of Disney’s 101 Dalmatians For Kids”. The students will also get to make a guest appearance in the latter as the 101 puppies!

Ages 4-5 : MWF 9-10:30 June 30-July 29 (no class on July 3)

Ages 6-7 MWF 10:30-12 June 30- July 29 (no class July 3)

NOT READY FOR BEDTIME PLAYERS

It’s time to enjoy the “Dog Days of Summer!” in our production workshop of Disney’s 101 Dalmatians For Kids!” You’ll have a howling good time learning music, movement, characterization, and even participate in painting your own sets and costumes for the production.

ACTING IN THE AFTERNOON: NICFEST PRODUCTION

Once again, we have been asked to be part of the entertainment at this year’s NICFEST in downtown Casper! This workshop, directed by Steven Spicher, will focus on advanced acting and production techniques and will culminate in a series of live performances outside at the NIC!

AGES 12 AND UP M-F 1-4PM JUNE 15-25

CAMP CCT!!!! FOR AGES 8-11

Our popular summer camp directed by Steven Spicher is back for more fun and adventure! This camp is designed for the beginning theatre student and is a great introduction to theatre and acting. Camp activities include: stage voice training, movement and choreography, character study, scene work, imagination exercises and creative games, and even an intro to stage make-up!

There will be a choice of sessions this year:

SESSION I JUNE 8-12 FROM 9-5 EACH DAY

SESSION II AUGUST 3-7 FROM 9-5 EACH DAY

Students will need to bring a sack lunch each day. Snacks will be provided.

CAMP TUTION: $199

BEHIND THE SCENES: SET DESIGN

Have you ever wanted to create a whole new world on the stage? Here’s your chance! Our set design workshop teaches the basics of design for the stage and then students create the set designs for our fall productions including Disney’s MULAN Jr. , “The Sidekick”, and “Tales of China”.

AGES 11 AND UP AUGUST 11 AND 12 FROM 9AM TO 3 PM

Students will need to bring a sack lunch each day. Snacks will be provided.

TUITION: $75

SPACE IN THESE CLASSES IS LIMITED. THEREFORE, REGISTRATION INDICATES A COMMITMENT ON THE PART OF EACH STUDENT TO ATTEND EVERY CLASS AND ALL PERFORMANCES.
